You may have noticed the sub-boards inside of the country boards such as Lux and Discourdous. You may have also noticed some vacancies in a family. You may also be wondering how to get into the royal family. Well, there are a few different options.
Option 1: Application
Please note that this ONLY works if there are all vacancies in the royal family you wish to apply for (or things can be worked out if you PM someone already existing in the royal family.) If you want to become a member of a royal family, you could apply for it when making your character application. Once you've completed your character application, make sure that the title says [ROYAL] in brackets. Staff will grade this application stricter then most, so make sure it's your best work.
Option 2: Marriage
Just as the title of this option says, you can marry into the royal family. The way Cesto works is that if you are in a royal family, your surname has dominance, meaning that even if you are female and a male marries you, the male will take on your surname. However, if the person you're marrying is a male and a prince or king, you will take on the surname of the male and you will become a member of that royal family and not live in your previous castle, and will have your name taken off of the roster for your country.
Option 3: Adopting
As a king, queen, prince, or princess 18 years or older, you are qualified to adopt someone. This person must be at the most 15 years of age. Once adopted, this person will take on the surname of the royal family and be added to the country's roster.
Option 4: Claiming
When you discover a land, you can have the option of becoming the land's ruler (of course the majority of party members must agree on the leader.) As ruler, you can decide the type of government. If this government is any kind of monarchy, then they will have the option of either appointing someone queen or king of the land, or claiming the title for themselves.
PLEASE NOTE: If I find out that anyone has more then one character in any royal family at once, there will be severe consequences. Also, royal families can be as large or as small as you want them to be. The empty, grey pictures are just placeholders!
